Home staging
Helping you prepare and stage your home for saleWhether you want a few tweaks to make your home look great for real estate photos and viewings, or you need ideas on what to change, fix, paint, highlight or disguise, I can give your space a glow up for its new owner without the need for moving out or living with hired furniture you need to tiptoe around for weeks. Let me help guide you on what to declutter, change furniture placement or improve the facade for a great first impression. Together, we can style up your space using your own things (and maybe a few style improvers you can take with you) so you can still live as you were, but have it appeal to buyers.

✔ Those who want to stage their home for sale with a mix of things they own and things they can buy and take with them to their new home.

✔ Those whose real estate agents suggested they do some tidying up and styling but don’t know how or don’t have time.
The popularity of property styling has boomed in recent years - and with good reason; they make a property look more enticing than an empty space or stuffed-to-the-brim lived-in home. But it’s not always convenient to move out and totally style your home. Or easy to live around a partially styled home.
Which is where I come in!
Let me do a walk through of your home, offer suggestions on simple but effective and affordable ways to make a great kerbside impression, create a better flow, point out things to declutter, store and/or replace, and work out what features of the home could be highlighted or disguised. Being big on reusing, recycling and repurposing, I might suggest furniture or decor that could be given an inexpensive makeover or help you source second-hand goods to fill any gaps. I’ll prepare a really informative document with all the ideas and tasks - along with recommended local trades who can help you with any maintenance. You’ll also receive a great shopping list of practical and pretty purchases that will elevate your space for open days and that you get to enjoy in your new house too because you won’t need to return it when the house sells.
I’m happy to work with you in any way you prefer to get your home market-ready: I can do the hard work for you, work with you or just give you the know-how, tips and tricks to get it done yourself in your own time. I’m pretty flexible, approachable and will always be aware of your family’s needs and budget throughout the process.

Got some questions?
I have answers!

I live on the southern end of the NSW Central Coast, Australia.

I’d like to think so!
While most of my clients live in and around the NSW Central Coast, I’m always willing to chat about potentially conducting in-home consults further afield - just contact me and we can work something out.
And because I love helping and talking all things homes all of the time, distance help via images or video calls is not out of the question. I’m a people pleaser so just ask!

While there is definitely a market for hired staging services, mine is not it. It’s not always convenient to move out of your home while it’s on the market, or easy to live with borrowed items you and your family will have to tiptoe around for weeks. Instead, you can live comfortably in your own space, with your own things, only… different. There will most likely be a bit of shuffling, editing and decluttering, but we can make good use of your own things (I love a challenge and a project - if you’re willing, some of your own pieces could get a little makeover!) and I’ll also give you a suggested shopping list of style improvers - styling pieces that will elevate your space for images and open homes, and that you can take with you to your new home. Which is even better than borrowing, right?

No, BUT there is a good chance you will need to declutter a fair bit. You will likely be advised to store away more personal, eclectic items and just keep the space a little more neutral so it appeals to more people. The simpler your space is, the easier people can see themselves living there.

Like beauty, style is in the eye of the beholder. That said, there are some styles that will appeal to more people and you want to attract as many people as possible to your home. There are plenty of ways we can work with what you have whether temporarily or permanently. Sometimes things are just in the wrong spot or used the wrong way and a little tweaking or mini makeover can make a big difference without outlaying lots of money.
